Local police to aid ICE in apprehending Illegal Immigrants

It has now become clear that comprehensive immigration reform efforts in Washington D C have failed at least for this year and perhaps for 2011 as well.  Meanwhile States such as Arizona and Nevada have agreed to use local police to aid ICE to apprehend illegal aliens for possible deportation. Therefore it becomes increasingly apparent that families of illegal immigrants should look at all possible ways to adjust status here in the United States or at their native country through an I-601 waiver of inadmissibility. In addition, proof of 10 years presence in the US and proof of qualifying relatives (parents, children and spouse  should be gathered.  In the event an illegal is detained by ICE and referred to immigration court, if an I 130 petition has been filed by a US citizen spouse a bond to get out of detention from ICE can be expedited.
